Mission Statement: Improving our communities through Philanthropy, Fundraising, Volunteerism and Education.

The Foundations’ new name is the Northwest Community Foundation (NWCF).

NWCF’s continues to be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  All funds previously raised and designated to Various "Named" Funds will remain dedicated to their intended purpose.  With the name change the function of the Foundation will expand allowing for a broader purpose, embracing a wider range of community organizations and their causes.

To broaden the focus to the community, the Foundation amended their bylaws and filed them with Washington Secretary of State.  With a “Change of Purpose” the organization is now able to support more civic, community, and family organizations in the area. Both through fund-raising events and tax deductible donations.  The organization is now able to help others organizations set up funds and endowments within the NWCF.

“We started working on this back in 2014, concluding with an affirmative vote by the Board of Directors on the proposed changes at our annual meeting. Our goal will be to build new relationships and help other groups and organizations in the Valley.  Executive Board members include; Claude Zehnder, Board Chairman, Frank Ver Mulm, Vice Chair, Kathy Aubrey, Treasurer, Ladonna Rorabeck, Vice Treasurer and Kathy Thonney, Secretary. Mike Hogue, Director and Linda Hall, Director.

In the past, the Foundation teamed up with a group led by Jarrod and Ali Boyle from Prosser wanting to help raise money for different causes such as; the Playground of Dreams, Andrew Early Guild, Prosser UGN, the Walter Clore Wine & Culinary Center, Life Options and Make the Dash Count Foundation, and eventually the Foundation with the event known as A Night Out – Denim & Diamonds. By making the change the new NWCF will be able to support numerous funding opportunities.
